The Explorers Club (International)
Founded in 1904 by a group of America’s leading explorers, the Explorers Club is a multidisciplinary professional society dedicated to the advancement of field research, scientific exploration, and the ideal that preserving the instinct to explore is vital.
With emphasis on the physical and biological sciences, Explorers Club programs cover the areas of research, education, and public service.
The future of our club will be marked by changes we cannon begin to foresee, any more than our original founders could have anticipated the myriad challenges and opportunities we face today. Through our chapter clubs The Explorers carry the long life of the mission to support and encourage the public and young to engage in the spirit of discovery.
The Pacific Northwest Explorers Club
The Club's members are organized into more than thirty national and international chapters that serve as local contact points for explorers, scientists, and student explorers throughout the world. Our chapter began in 1992. Early members honored the spirit by bringing together highly profiled professionals in the fields of science, culture, and recreation. These members met to exchange and challenge their passions for discovery.
